In a world where boba tea has become a controlled substance, a underground network of boba enthusiasts fights to keep their beloved drink accessible. When college student Mai discovers her grandmother's secret recipe for the most addictive boba ever created, she becomes an unwitting hero of the resistance. Pursued by overzealous government agents and corrupt corporation cronies, Mai must navigate a frothy landscape of danger, friendship, and sweet rebellion. As the movement grows, she learns that true freedom is about more than just tapioca pearls.
