"Ego Elixir" is an attempt on a mockumentary that explores the events that take place in a gated community through delusion inducing mysterious energy drink. The story follows two main characters, a wannabe gangster and a martial arts enthusiast, whose lives intersect due to their reliance on the drink. The short film opens with a flashy advertisement for karate classes featuring Master Shogun Raj, a YouTube instructor promoting Unlimited Confidence and tutorials on knife defence. Meanwhile, the martial arts enthusiast, inspired by his ex-girlfriend's liking for Bruce Lee, turns to the energy drink to boost his abilities and confidence to impress his ex and gain her back into his life. On the other hand, the wannabe gangster relies on the drink to boost his bravado and assert his gangster status in the gated community(though he started off as a shoplifter. However, both characters soon discover that their illusions come with consequences as their perceptions of reality become distorted. As the story unfolds, the two characters navigate their delusions and face the repercussions of their actions. The wannabe gangster resorts to petty crime to assert his dominance, while the martial arts enthusiast finds himself in a showdown with the gangster, fueled by their inflated egos. Throughout the screenplay, themes of authenticity, self-awareness, and the dangers of unchecked ego are explored. The characters' struggles serve as a reminder of the importance of understanding oneself and the impact of external influences on identity. The narrative is rich with urban imagery, heavy dialogues, and action sequences, leading to a dramatic confrontation that forces the characters to confront their true selves. In the end, both characters reflect on their experiences as their resolutions occur, bringing the entire movie to a circle with the martial arts enthusiast realising that his entire confrontation was not really a realistic plan to achieve what he wants and the gangster coming to terms with the consequences of his actions and his resolution fixing his internal needs. Overall the movie is a list of events that cause conflicts but ultimately leads to resolutions for every single scene in the movie itself.
