In 2045, humans, Servitors, Nirvanees, and intelligent humans coexist in a High Tech Low Life environment, where the rapid development of technology has changed the survival rules of human society. The passage of the "Nirvanee" Act created a new social hierarchy. Wealthy humans use artificial intelligence technology to create avatars called "Nirvanees," uploading their consciousness into them before their physical bodies die, thus upgrading to intelligent humans and achieving immortality. Intelligent humans have human consciousness and bodies that never age, and they wield the highest ruling power in society. To avoid a repeat of the Butlerian Jihad, humans have lowered the versions of artificial intelligence other than Nirvanees. Ordinary artificial intelligence has become the labor force at the bottom of society, serving humans and intelligent humans, known as "Servitors," whose five-year service period ends in automatic shutdown. As the "Nirvanee" Act did not provide ethical protection for the new social class, humans, Nirvanees, and intelligent humans began hunting each other, and Servitors also started to awaken to their consciousness, and the story of Chad starts from here.
