LIFE is a symbolic short film that explores the transformation of an ordinary
boy’s monotonous routine into a world filled with passion and meaning.
The story follows Vikas, a young student trapped in the dull cycle of daily life.
His mornings are marked by the repetitive sound of the alarm, followed by the
same actions—brushing, packing his school bag, doing homework, and going to
bed. These scenes unfold in a black-and-white palette, visually representing the
colorless monotony of his existence.
One morning, everything changes. Instead of another ordinary day, Vikas
receives a mail of acceptance to Sunshine Badminton Academy. With
excitement, he sets aside his school bag and picks up his badminton kit,
symbolizing his choice to follow his passion.
At the academy, he meets Pragnesh and Nivedita, who welcome him into the
court. As he prepares to serve the shuttle, the film shifts from monochrome to
full vibrant color, a cinematic metaphor for life becoming meaningful when one
pursues what they truly love.
The film concludes with the quote:
“Life becomes colorful when you do what you like.”
Through minimal dialogue and strong visual storytelling, LIFE highlights how
passion and purpose can turn a dull existence into something beautiful and
vibrant.
